Thank you for your interest in joining the GTC Assessment track with the Graduation to Certification (GTC) program. Those selected to participate will take pre- and post-assessments in January and December, 2019, as well as the RID performance exam (December 2019). There are no costs to you, the CATIE Center will support the costs of these assessments.

What is GTC Assessment? The Graduation to Certification program must select a group of current students and recent graduates who are representative of new interpreters who will help with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the GTC Program (by completing pre- and post-assessments). GTC Assessment will serve as a control group to those participating in the Academic Partners Cohort.
We estimate that it might take you 1-2 hours to complete all of the requirements of the application. The statements below spell out the requirements of applying for GTC Assessment, and you need to agree to them before proceeding with the application.

Be sure to keep the deadline of January 3, 2019 at 5:00 pm CST in mind. We must have all of your materials by January 3, including unofficial transcripts and other documentation. Two recommendations must be received by January 6, 2019 at 11:59 pm CST.

All forms submitted are confidential recommendations submitted directly to the Graduation to Certification Program.
A confirmation email will be sent from the Graduation to Certification Program to the applicant when the recommendation is submitted, so that applicants can track the progress of the required submissions for their application.
For your recommendations, the deadline is January 6, 2019 at 11:59 pm CST. All other application materials are due January 3, 2019 at 5:00 pm CST.

We wish we could accept each person who applies to the GTC Assessment track, but we know we will likely have more applications than spaces available. If you apply but are not accepted, you will still have access to all of the public resources made available by the CATIE Center to guide you in your ongoing development of your interpreting skills.
We anticipate notifying all applicants by January 10, 2019.
